Churchwardens:

The churchwardens are volunteers elected annually from amongst members of the congregation. They organize everything from cutting the grass to organizing the smooth running of church committees and the Sunday services. Churchwardens are the unsung heroes of typical Anglican church parishes and do their best to absorb all the tensions that exist in any healthy family.

The Lychgate Office

The Benefice Office is situated in the Lychgate, which is the small half-timbered building at the West end of the churchyard.  It was built at the turn of the Twentienth Century out of the oak timbers which were rescued from the spire of the church after it was struck by lighning and caught fire several years before.  The exterior walls are inscribed with passages from Scripture and the barge boards are carved with decorations in the form of bells.
